Natasha Denona released a new mini palette back in February and from looking at the colour story, I knew I had to get it. I believe it is a limited edition palette with Valentine’s Day and love being the inspiration. I already own the first mini palette (Sunrise) and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one.
The packaging is rectangular shaped and made out of a shiny light pink plastic. The brand and palette names are printed on the front in black block letters. It has a magnetic closing, which you lift to reveal the inside of the palette. There is a mirror and fifteen pans equally spread out with the shade names printed in white under each eyeshadow. The border around the eyeshadows is a metallic hot pink/red shade and the base that holds the shades is black. You get fifteen 1.28g eyeshadows in Matte (M), Cream Powder (CP), Metallic (ME), Duo-Chrome (DC) and Chroma Crystal (CC) finishes.

The eyeshadows should be buttery soft, blend easily, long lasting and ultra-pigmented. The palette is cruelty free, but not vegan (contains Carmine). This palette is also limited edition.
I am a bit underwhelmed by this palette! The colour story is beautiful, but the matte shades are missing the spark that draws me in. The eyeshadows are very soft; the only exception would be the shade Dream as it is a little dry and chalky in texture. The mattes are very easy to blend and all shades are pigmented, especially the shimmer formulas. I found it hard to do one colour sort of looks. Heart and Heartbeat are the red shades of the palette, but Heartbeat is not dark enough for you to use to deepen the shade Heart. They just mix together and you don’t see the gradient. The shade Heart still looks red when it is blended out, but Heartbeat can read a little pink. You get a little kick back in the pans, but I didn’t notice any fallout. I recommend using a primer and if you want a more intense finish with the shimmer/metallic shades, I would apply them over glitter glue with a stiff flat synthetic brush or with your finger. Applying them wet gives them a foiled effect. I love the shimmer/metallic shades and the majority of mattes are great, but I am just slightly underwhelmed by the shade selection. The only dud shades of the palette for me are; Trust- it looks like a dirty purple and it is slightly dry, chalky and patchy, Commitment - it is such a dark shade and it looks flat and uninteresting and Dream- like I said it is dry and patchy and very hard to apply with a brush. It’s mostly the purple shades I have a problem with and I know purple eyeshadows are notoriously hard to formulate. Although the colour story and whole aesthetic is stunning as a whole, I would give this palette a miss if I were you.
