Following on from "The Good Karma Tarot" deck post - I thought I would share the blessings, by doing a one-card reading. Of course, if you're not comfortable with Tarot readings feel free to skip this post.

If you're a long time reader by now I guess its obvious that my blog is a hodge-podge stew of thangs that make me go "ohh!". So, thanks for sticking with me over the years (umm decade?!) - I've really wanted to find some ways to give back to this readership but I've not been sure how necessarily do so without involving possible dilemmas with shipping over the world (shudders from the thought of a MIA package) etc. so, I think showcasing the awesomeness of the new deck along with providing this reading may help to compensate ... Plus at times it can be pretty quiet *yells loudly and hears echo*. Feel free to participate in this reading or not. I will try to make other posts on self-care topics that hopefully everyone can enjoy so stay tuned. If you do love and appreciate Tarot then that's great because I'll hopefully make some more posts on this topic. Okay, well - let's start!

Retreat! It's time to dial back from the world and reflect on your inner light. Where are you going? What's important to you? How long can you stay hiding away who you are, to fit into what you think is required of you, or who you "should" be? This card is a call for contemplation and enlightenment - you deserve to do more and be more for yourself - because you deserve more - more from you. This card is a call for complete honesty with yourself and your situation - to go inward towards the silent path of self-reflection, living authentically to be a true expression of the light you have within. Your inner light will carry you far - just believe in it.
Clear Quartz - is said to be the master healer, it aids memory, as well as enhancing psychic abilities.
Guidance - Don't be afraid of standing out - you were made to shine. Now is a good time to reflect on solutions to your problems - you might just find inventive methods to get quick long-lasting results with issues that have left you stumped before - life need not be a struggle. Light a candle, get back into a creative hobby, stargaze, etc. and connect back to the centre of your universe - you.
The Four of Cups |
Black Tourmaline - is said to be a potent grounding stone, for protection, health, happiness, luck and positivity - banishing negativity.
Guidance - Write 20 things you can be grateful for in your life currently and be thankful. You're blessed. Start journaling to get your head out of the fog - soon you'll see how amazing life can be.

So there you have it - a reading using "The Good Karma Tarot" deck by Kerry Ward. I find the deck is a good representation of the classic Raider Waite system reimagined in a modern way. Just note, if you're looking for a deck with deep mystical symbology embedded into the illustrations - then you're out of luck. This is a fresh colourful deck that will get you comfortable with the Tarot system and the original meanings/symbology behind each card mainly from the guidebook. I used the awesome guidebook to aid in the reading, and I hope that you found your message helpful - I've certainly found that the cards along with the guidebook have really helped me refocus so I just thought I'd share (plus gain some practice). Till next time ...
